One of the neatest experiences of my life was watching a killer whale pod off the northwest coast. They were surprisingly playful, swimming around and under the boat for about an hour, splashing us a little with their fins–fun stuff. I can’t imagine why this wouldn’t be enough. You wanna see some whales, hop aboard a boat that advertises just that and go looking for them. Can’t cost much more than a day at Seaworld.
