Embedded above is the new international trailer for Rian Johnson’s “Looper,” which lets the viewer in on quite a bit more than the domestic version. However, if you’re already sold on the movie, Johnson recommends via Twitter that you refrain from viewing the spoiler-containing video: “If you’re already set on seeing ‘Looper,’ I’d avoid any trailers from here on out. They don’t ruin the movie, but they tip a few little things that are fun to discover in the context of the movie.” It looks like the filmmaker took what I said in my April 16 column “Trailer Overkill: Taking the Mystique out of ‘Looper'” to heart. So why am I even posting this trailer here? Because as a citizen of the Internet, you have a right to information and how you choose to use that information is your decision.
“Looper” hits U.S. theaters on September 28. If anyone knows how to time-travel there now, I’m open to joining you.
