We’re barely past the Fourth of July, but that’s not stopping DreamWorks Animation from releasing the trailer for its Holiday Season tent-pole, “Legend of the Guardians,” based on the book by William Joyce. The family-friendly pic tells the story of five children’s heroes – Santa Claus, Jack Frost, the Easter Bunny, the Sandman, and the Tooth Fairy – who band together in an “Avengers”-like team to “protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world,” from the Boogeyman. Big stars, from Chris Pine to Alec Baldwin to Hugh Jackman to Isla Fisher to Jude Law, do the voices.
“Rise of the Guardians” arrives in U.S. theaters just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, on November 21.
