Hillary Clinton won’t be lighting up the silver-screen anytime soon, but if she ever does, there will be Muppets.
It all started when Jason Segel, star of “The Muppets” and “The Five-Year Engagement,” told US Weekly that he thought that the Secretary of State could be a decent actress. “I just feel like she would be good at comedy. I think you can feel it from a mile away,” Segel said.
Someone at the White House got wind of this and, lo and behold, Secretary Clinton sent back an hilarious official rejection of Segel’s offer, posted after the jump.
Even if you aren’t a fan of the Administration and its “cool kid” approach to issues like this, the letter is very funny. And if Secretary Clinton had a hand in any of the jokes herself, perhaps Segel was right and she would make a good comedienne.
