In the ongoing saga of Mel Gibson… the star appeared last night on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” He addressed the Joe Eszterhas situation–“When you guys [at “The Tonight Show”] get me here and tape me, you let me know what you’re going to do upfront!”–and portrayed himself as a blameless victim. This part of the interview didn’t go badly, but as it continued and he was making small-talk with Jay and promoting his upcoming “Get the Gringo,” I couldn’t help but feel that he seemed very on-edge and, yes, a little crazy.
