Just in time for both elections and North Carolina politics is The Campaign, Will Ferrell’s latest comedy of idiots. Ferrell will play a lecherous North Carolina Democratic congressman who faces a serious challenge in the form of a Republican buffoon played by Zach Galifianakis. The film is directed by Jay Roach, who most recently tackled American politics in HBO’s Sarah Palin takedown flick Game Change. The film co-stars Dylan McDermott, Jason Sudeikis, and Brian Cox.
The Campaign will poll the electorate on August 10.
Galifinakis’ character reminds me of my character Larry-bob Speedstock in 2012’s Spirit Lake. (Spiritlakemovie.com).
