The competition jury for the 65th Cannes Film Festival has its jury, and moviegoers should recognize a few of the names.
It was revealed today that the competition jury would feature names familiar to American audiences such as Ewan McGregor, Alexander Payne, and Diane Kruger. The jury is headed by Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti (We Have a Pope), and will award one of 22 competing films with the Palme d’Or, the festival’s top honor and one of cinema’s most prestigious prizes.
Previous Palme d’Or winners have included La Dolce Vita, Taxi Driver, Barton Fink, Pulp Fiction, and The Tree of Life.
